Characters

Progress is going pretty slow for Project T. Other than the plot I haven't actually worked on it a whole lot yet. I spent quite awhile figuring out what I want my main characters to look like and so far I have done the sprites for 2 of them. The first is the protagonist, currently unnamed, and the other is a villager who helps you out in the first level. I will post a picture of each in the photo's page of the site, feel free to check them out.

Starting Out

Hey everyone, this is my first official post (and announcement) for the video game I'm working on. Currently, it's untitled so for now I'm going to call it Project T.

I've been working on the concept for this game for a few months now and I would have started then but I couldn't find software capable of doing what I wanted. Although I may be too young to remember when they first came out, 8-bit games have always been my favourite so when making my own game I wanted it to be an 8-bit game. Most free game creating software only allows the use of more modern shapes but I finally found one that works. The program is called Construct 2 and is available for free on Steam.

The idea for this blog came from Nifty Hat Designer who has a blog of his own (currently he is no longer posting but still). I thought it could be cool to document my progress and keep me motivated to keep working. Every time I make major changes to the game I will post an update and perhaps a screenshot to keep the few (if any) followers I may get over the next few months updated.

I like to keep a bit of mystery so the main plot and game mechanics for Project T will remain a secret until the game's release but I will reveal character sprites, monsters and other details along the way. I hope anyone reading this enjoys hearing about it and will enjoy playing the game.
